Privacy

Your personal information

We are committed to respecting the privacy of visitors to this website. We only collect or process any personal information from your routine use of the website if it is legitimately required to operate the website. For example:

Your device IP address is used by our website hosting service in order to deliver web pages to you.

Your device IP address is logged by our security software in order to prevent fraudulent brute force attacks on our website.

If you use a Contact form on our website we will collect your name and email address in order to process the form and communicate with you.

Encryption of data sent between us

We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates to verify our identity to your browser and to encrypt any data you give us.

Whenever information is transferred between us, you can check that it is done so using SSL by looking for a closed padlock symbol or other trust mark in your browser’s URL bar or toolbar.

Data processed outside your country

Our website may be hosted in the USA, the UK, or the EU. Our website is backed up using third party services that, for security, store the backups in another geographical location (UK, USA, or EU).

Accordingly, data obtained within your country could be processed or stored in another country.

Your use of the contact form

If you complete a Contact form on the website, then we necessarily collect your name and email address in order to process the form and reply to your enquiry. Your device IP address is not retained by the Contact form. We do not use Google reCAPTCHA on the Contact form.

Your Contact details may be retained for up to two years for the purpose of processing your enquiry. You may request to have your data deleted earlier by contacting us.

Our use of analytics

We do not use Google Analytics. We use Statcounter, based in the EU, to collect visitor data. We process these data to help us improve the delivery and content of the website for visitors.

We collect your approximate geographical location (country and city), pages visited, and time spent on site, as well as the technology you use to connect to our website (Internet service provider, browser, computer or device, operating system, and screen resolution).

In processing these data, our focus is on what all our visitors do on our website, not who a particular visitor is. Accordingly, we configure Statcounter to only record a partial IP address, and to use no cookies. This means we do not collect any personally identifiable information or personal data about you from our use of Statcounter, and we are unable to personally identify you from the data or track your visits across devices, timeframes, or other websites.

Cookies and tracking technologies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer’s hard drive by your web browser when you visit a website that uses them. They allow information gathered on one web page to be stored until it is needed for use at a later date.

Re-marketing involves placing a ‘tracking technology’ such as a cookie, a ‘web beacon’ (also known as an ‘action tag’ or a ‘single-pixel GIF’) to track which pages you visit and to serve you relevant adverts for services when you visit some other website.

We do not use any cookies or tracking pixels on this website for marketing purposes. Only cookies that are essential for the functioning of the website, including security, network management, and accessibility are used.

We configure Statcounter so as not to place cookies in your browser when you visit our website.

Third party cookies and your use of embedded media

When media are embedded in this website, and you click to watch or listen to the media, a third-party may place a cookie in your browser. For example, if you choose to watch a YouTube video that is embedded on this website.

We embed any YouTube videos using their Enhanced Privacy mode which means that their marketing and tracking cookies are not placed in your browser, and your views of embedded YouTube content on this website will not be used to personalise your subsequent browsing experience on YouTube or elsewhere.

We may embed video hosted by Vimeo on this website. Vimeo does not place tracking or marketing cookies or pixels in your browser.

We may embed video or audio files from other websites or services. These third-party sources may place tracking cookies in your browser when you consume their media on this website, as they would if you were on their website.

Your web browser should allow you to delete any cookie you choose. It should also allow you to prevent or limit their use. Your web browser may support a plug-in or add-on that helps you manage which cookies you wish to allow to operate.
